had a blast surfing with the Shonan boys this morning!

Takenouchi-san is super stoked on surfing for 20 years. smooth and happy!

Inoue-san equally stoked too and riding the longest waves of the day.

look how beautiful the waves were today! glassy long rights all morning long. we scored!

and nice off the lips from Takenouchi-san!

i tucked myself in a couple miniature barrels. felt so good!

Inoue-san on a perfect point right at Bowls. so beautiful!

and the nice cross step to the nose.

thank you boys for the wonderful time! lots of waves and lots of laughs!

and lots of pho too! want to say hello to Ayumi-chan from Stone Free in Chigasaki! these are some cool surfers!
The Cool Shonan Boys…
The Foil King

i was standing on the beach with Peter King checking the waves and the first thing he said was “omg, the waves are perfect! it’s epic. let’s go out there!” he was like a little kid that just started surfing again. that was so cool to see!

seen Kekoa Uemura out there too. he’s been on the foil for only 2 months and hasn’t surfed ever since. haha. look at him go!

welcome to the beautiful world of foiling Kekoa! so stoked for you…

it was my first time foiling the North Shore so i was just as excited as the boys. the waves were so good and powerful! i was flying so fast!!!

then seen my lifeguard friend on his foil too. use to surf early mornings at Backdoor/Pipeline with Landon. we had some pretty amazing sessions back in the day, and we still do today.

Peter King is a surfer legend and of the best surfing journalist in the world. this guy has traveled around the world and surfed better waves than anybody. and he also has more stoke than anybody. when i took off on a set today, he was yelling “yeah!!!” then when i paddled back out, he said “omg, that was like a Waimea Bay drop! haha… we were probably the oldest guys out there but enjoying the waves like the youngest. looking forward to foiling with you again Peter!
