went foiling out at Bowls this morning. caught some big nice ones!!! i was flying like a jet bird!!! so exciting and so stoked!

then our yearly Family Boot Camp this afternoon. Nanami-san is one of the most energetic women i know. i always have to tell her to slow down but she doesn’t know how to. that’s why she was so tired before she even caught her first wave. haha.

after a couple deep breaths, it was surfing like usual. she’s riding and i’m on the side yelling.

imagine catching a wave and having a loud Sargent like me yelling in her ear!!! haha. i’m surprised she kept her balance…

then Gavin takes off on a beautiful one! so smooth and so cool!

and i couldn’t help myself as i was yelling from behind. these guys are use to it already. haha.

had some nice sets in the afternoon. i even tried to bodysurf a wave with my 10′ longboard. nice view in the barrel yeah? i love it!!!

another perfect ride, and another wave of me yelling my head off.

smooth, clean, offshore, and fantastic!

thank you Nanami-san and Gavin for the wonderful day of Boot Camp! see you guys tomorrow morning!

A Beautiful SUP’ing Day

it’s been a while since i’ve been on a SUP so it was pretty exciting!

and it’s been a while since i seen this young girl! omg, i’ve known Ami-chan since she was born! and the last time i seen her was when she was 8 or 10 years old! now she’s grown up, going to college, and SUP’ing! so cool!

Chikako-chan is another young college girl interested in SUP’ing. great balance and great smile.

look how beautiful it was!

practicing balance and technique.

then after the lagoon, i asked the girls if they were ready for the ocean! of course they said yes!

little more water moving, harder to balance, but Chikako-chan did great.

Ami-chan and incredible good balance. must be the surfers DNA from her Papa Nakajima-san!

college kids love pizza so it was pizza for lunch!

so good to see the girls enjoying Hawaii. thank you Ami-chan and Chikako-chan for the wonderful time. you girls did great! in fact, none of you even fell off the board once! amazing…
