got the call this afternoon that DH was looking good. so threw the foil in the truck and had the time of my life! the waves were absolutely perfect! long double ups and 1 minute rides. i came in this evening thinking to myself “wow, i’m freaking so happy!”

Lion Air is very familiar to me. i’ve used it multiple of times traveling within Indonesia. so when i see news of plane crashes, it hits me a little harder. this one was going to Sumatra from Jakarta and crashed. 189 passengers and crew gone. omg, so sad…

2 tourists in Thailand got drunk and spayed graffiti on a wall. they got caught by video and now face 10 years in a Thailand jail and $30,000 of fines. yes travelers, every country has their own rules. they both said that they are scared for their lives. i would be too. i visited a jail in Thailand and by the looks of it, that’s the last place on earth i’d want to be.

the Waikiki hotel workers strike has been going on for 3 weeks now. i drive through Waikiki every day and it’s very loud and distracting. i hope they can sit down and reach an agreement soon. i seen some Japanese tourists completely freaking out.
