i knew my board was getting finished up so wanted to check out the last stages. walked in on Charlie Walker. a surfboard builder legend! one of the best in the world.

then Denny is one of the Hawaii Kai boys i grew up with. he’s the laminator and does all the finishing work. under the carbon glass is 2 boxes for my foil. can’t see it right?

watching this work being done to my new board makes me feel a better connection. it’s like watching a baby being born.

making sure you use the right tools for the right job.

so amazing to see all the work these guys put into each and every surfboard.

now the boxes are exposed. can’t wait to get my foil in there.

perfectly done. thank you Jeannie for the amazing airbrush. thank you Carl for the innovative shape, and thank you to the rest of the boys for taking care of my baby! going to wax her up right now!

and want to thank Mana-chan for giving me the power, smiles, and gifts in Okinawa. Zanpa, Okinawa!

still thinking about my last meal in Japan. so cheap and so good! i’ll be back to Nagoya very soon!

my friend in the water today told me “hey, you missed the last swell. the waves were so good.” i told him “umm, no, i don’t think so.” if there was anyone that missed out, it was him. haha.

after surfing super good Bowls this morning, then getting barreled at Rockpiles right after, i drove to the North Shore to pick up the newest addition to my foil collection. life just gets better and better…

a house in Kapahulu was on fire, luckily the next door neighbor Alysa Wooten grabbed her baby and ran to safety. freaking so scary!!!

come to find out, the owner was the one who set the fire to his $1.1M own house. why? because of a recent divorce. omg!

Lionel Richie of the Commodores is coming to Hawaii January 25, 2019! going to be some cool love songs to sing along with…

but before Lionel, Guns N Roses is coming to the Aloha Stadium on December 8th! omg!!! i already got my ticket so i’ll be singing and screaming all night long! TAKE ME DOWN TO THE PARADISE CITY WHERE THE GRASS IS GREEN AND THE GIRLS ARE PRETTY….
