Coach to Kids: Be Humble

i wasn’t going anywhere this morning because Hawaii was watching the Little League World Series Championship game. so yeah, i was yelling and screaming in my room. the game was amazing and we won!

the kids were amazing. truly inspiring…

all these kids are now super famous. i’ll be watching all their dreams come true because a couple of these kids will be major leaguers.

after the game, the Hawaii coach came out and said “hey kids, be humble.” something i totally respect…

throughout the World Series, the Hawaiian kids were giving hugs to everybody. that’s the island style i love so much. Aloha from the heart and these kids are learning at such a young age.

reminded me of my little league days. we never won and my coach would always yell at me and beat me up. the other players use to say i deserved it. haha.

the Hawaii coach is amazing. a real big role model for the kids and for the whole world. so much Aloha and so much giving from the heart. i was in tears listening to his words to the kids.

then after winning the game, the Hawaii team went to the South Korean teams side and thanked their fans. total respect!

and yeah, kids will always be kids. Hawaii has World Champions and i felt like i won today too! thank you kids for cheering up all of Hawaii!

then went to surf with 3 amazing kids right after. photos coming tomorrow…

then right after that, went to surf with 2 amazing adults. photos coming tomorrow. i’m so exhausted from screaming and tearing this morning watching the game. so goodnight for now…

WE ARE THE WORLD CHAMPIONS!!!

OMG, HAWAII JUST WON THE 2018 LITTLE LEAGUE WORLD CHAMPIONS!!!

CONGRATULATIONS KIDS!!!
SO HAPPY HAWAII!!!

Slumdog Millionaire

i couldn’t believe the hurricane was still sending us swells yesterday evening. the waves started pumping in the afternoon and it wouldn’t stop.

Tani-san came to Hawaii at the perfect time. it’s his first time and i hope he doesn’t think it’s like this everyday. the last time we got this swell direction was decades ago.

i had a blast following Tani-san as he caught this beautiful wave at Bowls. super good surfer with lots of power.

the best view in the house. can’t wait for another day of surfing with him come Monday!

the waves were so perfect that all i had to do was push on my back foot and along came the speed. 70% back foot, 30% front foot is what i teach people. no, this is not JohnJohn, this is me. haha…

found these photos online about the rich divided by the poor. i had goosebumps because i actually flew over Cape Town in Africa and seen this exact same setup. rich on one side, and poor on the other…

and also seen this flying into Johannesburg Airport too. one side of the street, rich, and the other, poor. i have a feeling this is how American will be in 30 years. scary…

Shimizu shave ice! yeah!

Mateus slept over and forget his toothbrush so i taught him how to brush his teeth with his finger.

don’t use too much toothpaste boy…

yes, that’s perfect!

brush with your finger, and rinse after. and next time don’t forget your toothbrush!!!
