i went to visit my super Grandpa Fukunaga today to wish him a happy birthday! i went the other day but he was fast asleep on his sofa so didn’t want to wake him up from his peaceful nap. Grandpa is 96 years old!!!! OMG, so healthy, so healthy, and so smiling. Happy Birthday Grandpa!

wanted to congratulate Kyle on his fresh catch. a big marlin! and thank you for the filet!

tonights dinner was fresh marlin carpaccio. olive oil, onions, capers, salt, pepper, and lime. fresher and tastier than any restaurant on the island.

then a big filet made 5 star style. eating early, eating healthy, and eating for free! thanks again Kyle.

woke up this morning and received a photo from Toda-san. i opened it up and seen all my awesome friends enjoying dinner together! i was actually a little jealous! haha. Naoka, Matsuo, Sato-san, Toda-san, Takami-san, Matsu, Akko-chan, Eri-chan, Kanae-san and Yuki-chan. i miss all you guys! see you this summer in chigasaki!

had a wonderful dinner at my favorite taiwan nabe restaurant. a wonderful talk with Ieki-san and Masami-san while eating our healthier nabe dinner. i’ve probably known this wonderful couple for over 15 years. and wanted to say hello to their daughter Minami-chan. attending college and on her way to a great career. hope to see you all very soon again.

i’ve taken a few hundred people over the past 7 years to eat this nabe. a 100% satisfaction ranking. not even one person ever disliked here. must be special!
