last night i went to celebrate my good friends 50th birthday! pretty cool party!

and great entertainment. Bruce Shimabukuro who happens to be Jake’s brother was jamming on the ukulele! and had a guy on the side doing percussions with his mouth and mic. it was freaking awesome!

Clyde on the left, and birthday boy Tat’s on the right. most people know him as Eddie, but i know him as Tat’s. i met Tat’s when i was 14 years old. we were friends ever since. surfed a lot together, drank a lot together, raced volkswagon’s at sandy beach together, and did other crazy things together. Tat’s use to be a very small japanese boy in high school that could fight like jackie chan. so when the big locals tried to pick on him, he would chop them all up in 5 seconds. a guy that doesn’t take shit from anyone, a guy that will stand up for his rights, and a guy that would protect his family and friends like an angry lion. i respected that part of him all these years. a great surfer, a great guy, and a great friend. Happy 50th Birthday Tat’s! sorry i ran away last night. i got scared when i seen all the shots and didn’t want to crash on the motorcycle driving home last night. i’ll catch you again!
