then i went to visit my grandma’s grave this morning at The Valley of the Temples. my Grandma Fukunaga loved me my whole life. i was young and didn’t know what love was. now i know and now i can share my grandma’s love to everyone. i was a bad boy, i was crazy, but my grandma loved me unconditionally and never talked bad about me. i thanked her for that today and told her i how much i love her. and i told her that i will spread the love she has given me my whole life. some people abandoned me, some people talked bad about me, and some people even called me a stupid kid. my grandma was always there for me and i really appreciate her love and kindness.

The Valley of the Temple is one of the most beautiful sites in the world. thousands of first and second generation japanese are all buried here. next to my grandmas grave was my great grandparents graves. they were the original immigrants that came to hawaii from japan. if it wasn’t for them, i wouldn’t be here. and i am very thankful for giving me this wonderful life at a 4th generation japanese/american living on this beautiful island.

picked up Team Ina this evening for a sunset/rain surf session. the winds turned offshore, the waves were perfect, and we surfed some awesome waves. then came into the harbor, had a few drinks, ate some dinner, and went home very happy! what a great way to end a beautiful day! it’s 9pm and past my bedtime. thank you again for a wonderful day. tomorrow morning early surf session at secret spot? depending on the winds. see you there.
