Dolphins and Lobsters
wow, today was a beautiful day! super sunny and super calm in the morning. i had to put Mayuki back in the water so as i was sweating in the hot sun, Brent and Kekoa called me up. they were down at the harbor getting ready to dive and invited me. instead, i invited them and we went diving.
super cool guys. i went on a boat trip with Kekoa to timor and palau. and i went on a trip with Brent to palau. so we know each other pretty well. i guess you can say we are travel/dive partners.
on the way out, we seen some dolphins! so cool! they came to play on the side of Mayuki and it was just pure amazing just watching them swim in their world. this photo looks photoshopped but it’s not. amazing yeah!
Brent and Kekoa caught slipper lobsters and a tako. excellent catch! we came in at 11am, i had to drop off the huge trailer in kailua, backing it up into a little stall was fun, then back to town to work!
i just made it in time to pick up Sugita-san. i met Sugita-san last year at the TSSC contest in shikoku. a super cool guy and a good surfer. i was stoked to see him riding so many long waves. and yes, the waves this afternoon were really good! freak head high sets and empty! thank you Sugita-san for the wonderful afternoon session!
tomorrow will be another busy day and i’m looking forward to waking up already! good night.
South Winter Crowds!
remember i always say “things happen for a reason?” well, there was a reason why i lost my camera last week. it fell off my bumper and now i’m glad it did. why? because i just bought a new one and it is much much better. better photos, better quality, better shutter speed, and better everything. now i have a less chance of missing the shot. if i didn’t lose my old one, i would never know.
Abe-san and Yuta-kun. ready for another hawaiian surf session.
when ever i see father/son, mother/daughter, husband/wife, boyfriend/girlfriend, samurai/geisha, or any family members surfing together, i get really happy. i know it just creates a bond that is unbreakable.
Yuka-kun’s second surf session. great balance, great style, and great surfer.
Abe-san getting better and better each time. better balance, better body, and better surfing.
and if you thought my job is safe, you’re wrong. try organizing a crazy surfer frenzy lineup where most of the people surf like fools. you have to watch forward, sideward, and reverse before letting your important guest ride the wave of his life. i see a lot of people get hurt for no reason. i just shake my head. safety is always my top priority. please surf safe everyone.
