I really like your spear fishing videos, watched one or two of the surf vids. Every one on my dads side surfs or surfed at one time. My dad was an expert at Virginia beach, and Cocoa Beach. Have one uncle that still runs a small surf shop there. I was curious what do I need to spear fish there in Oahu? I will be making a trip there on the 30th for 2 weeks for work and am really interested in spear fishing.
any help would be appreciated.

*what’s up jay, thanks for looking. what you need to spear fish in oahu? a long breath and a good friend that will take you to the fish. if you don’t have both of that, forget it because hawaii’s the hardest place in the world to find and spear fish.

*hello hamlet, thanks for the comment. yes, my friends and surfing are all full of life! as for my camera, i use all different kinds. my best setup is about $5,000 USD. for you, i would probably start off with a go-pro. and hey, you’re english is pretty dam good!

Real good video. But what is the music in the video? It would be great to use it in some surf videos in ireland especially during winter!
Also the two Japanese chicks, Takako and Mari in the video from Diamond Head, are they single? Not that they’d emigrate to Ireland or anything. I’m sure the thought of surfing in ice water isn’t much of an aphrodisiac! haha

well, i was lucky enough to find parking early this morning and surfed bowls. not too many people, good waves, and lots of off the lips. been testing out some new boards and they all seem to be working really good. good board and good waves equal good life!
oh, they are filming the upcoming movie “Godzilla” down at ala moana so if you want to surf there, good luck in finding parking. it’s like a game! luckily i have a lot of friends who give me their parking spot. thanks boys and girls!

when flying to molokai, you get the best birds eye view. i just stare out of the window gazing over our beautiful island. this is ala moana. cool yeah! i can see surf spots from canoes in waikiki, to courts at ala moana park. the best way to check the waves!

then it looks weird once you get to aina hinia, niu valley, and hawaii kai. weird!

there is a new online magazine called “Lines Magazine.” i was checking it out and seen this crazy shot of indonesian pro surfer Dede Suryana surfing some of the dirtiest water in the world. yucky!
