good morning. from today, the winds are going to act up again all week. we should be waking up to no wind and by 10am, it’s going to get onshore. some days strong, some days week. some days good waves, some days junk waves. this is where surf knowledge is going to come into play. i’ll know where to go, and what time to go. hope you have a great weak of perfect waves!

there are these plastic bags hanging everywhere on the ferry from wakayama to shikoku. i’m guessing it’s for people that get seasick? yuck!

every time i go to tokyo, i visit hachiko. why? because i like hachiko very much. why? because hachiko was very loyal. loyalty is the key to respect, and respect is the key to success. we could all learn from this loyal doggie. good boy hachiko!

the last time i went to japan, i found out there was a narita express and suica promotion. buy a regular price train ticket from narita to tokyo, and get a free suica card that is charged up with 2000 or $20. what a deal!

and last, i wanted to say hello to Honey Boy! haha.

when i was in shikoku at the tssc contest, i saw this little kid grab a surfboard and walk down to the beach. he was so cute. then he paddled out, and actually started surfing! omg! his timing and everything was perfect.

i seen him catch 5 waves and then he carried his board back all the way up the beach. i’m sure his parents were proud of him. future pro surfer? ganbatte kid!

how cool is this photo? i took this shot between heats. what a great event it was, and is every year. can’t wait till next! see you there!
anyway, no wind days coming for the next week. get ready for hot weather and vog. but the good thing is that the waves will be epic every morning. perfect conditions! and guess what? the diving conditions will be epic too! yeah!!!
