WE ARE ONE on KITV NEWS: 1 YEAR 8 MONTH LATER

when i flew out of sendai airport last week, i took the window seat on purpose because i wanted to get the arial view of the tsunami damage. on the ground and in the air is totally different! you could see the mass destruction of the tsunami that wiped everything out!!! i was shocked! and the bummer thing is the salt water just killed the crops and all the rich soil. i’m wondering if they are ever going to rebuild near the shoreline again.

isn’t this crazy? i was in disbelief. there use to be houses, crops, and all kinds of green there before. now it’s all dead brown.

right before my recent trip, KITV news journalist Lara Yamada called me up and wanted to talk about japan and it’s progress. it aired on christmas night on the news. let me tell you that there is still a long way to go. when Lara came to Japan last year and did the story, i told her that i was in this for the long run, meaning 10 years or so. but things changed, i’m not in this for 10 years or so, i’m in this forever. i know that it will take more than the rest of my lifespan for japan to fully recover and i’m not giving up until it happens. once again, thank you all for your love and support! We Are One!
