i had more fun shooting photos yesterday than surfing. and i get more requests of hawaiian lifestyle photos than surfing photos. so while i was shooting surfing, i seen some cool lifestyle images in my head so i just pointed, and shot. check them out.

sunday is for everyone. and being that this week is a 3 day holiday, everybody is out enjoying the sun. it couldn’t have been a more beautiful day that it was.

on the tip of diamond head, there are luxury condos lining up the shoreline. we call this the “Gold Coast.” someday, it is my dream to own a condo there. i better start working harder because the starting price is over a million dollars.

the ocean is a playground. some people like to ride those big cruise ships. i rather be surfing.
for some reason, i feel like shooting again. this swell i surfed my brains out. next swell maybe swim out and get some water shots? sounds fun!

Memorial Day: All gave some, some gave all. Never forget.

wow, it was another perfect day here in hawaii! took the little girls surfing today and i was so happy to see them riding bigger and bigger waves. it’s all about getting comfortable in the ocean so when the freak set comes, they are prepared. today a huge freak set came so i told them to turn around, paddle, and hold on. haha. they both rode it all the way to the beach. kind of dangerous, but fun!

it’s been a long time since i took photos. so being such a beautiful day, my 100-400mm lens was the call. this is from rockpiles looking over to magic island where the local motion surf into summer contest was on.

the waves were still perfect. and it’s the 11th day of the swell. one kid was standing out, this is Noah Mizuno pulling an air.

with the incoming tide and off shore winds, every wave was barreling.

then i was shooting some friends surfing perfect rock pile lefts. Gabe with the good one!
smaller surf this week with another south swell next week. trade winds so offshore everyday with lots of rainbows. have a great memorial day tomorrow!
