wanted to welcome Go-Naminori Official Blogger Keith Kajioka from hawaii who now resided in Taiwan. Keith will be giving us the up to date surf report from Taiwan. i went scouting for waves in Taiwan 17 years ago. went from taipei all the way down to kenting. backpacked it by myself catching airplanes, trains, busses, taxi’s, and even hitch hiking. seen some amazing lineups and even took some photos. i knew there were waves down there and i just had to see it for myself. then right after that, i was introduced to indonesia so haven’t had the time to go back to Taiwan. well, now that we got the up to date surf report, don’t be surprised if you see me there for the next typhoon. haha. go big, go naminori! hope to see you soon Keith!
when the water cleans up, i’ll be on one of those waves. anybody want to join me? Taiwan is super close to japan so we can get there in a few hours.

Born and raised on Oahu Hawaii and worked in the surf industry for 25 years. Moved to southern Taiwan to escape the crowded line ups and traffic on Oahu. Taiwan has over 900 miles of coastline (it’s an island) so the potential for surf is endless with not much surfers. I’ll be posting surf reports as well as other topics that will give you an idea of what Taiwan’s all about.

Diamond Head biggest at chest high.
Light tradewinds at 15mph.
Little cloudy becoming sunny.

My New Evade Car!!!!
good evening. where did you surf today? i surfed a place where it was perfect! knee/waist high and super long perfect rights. good for long boarding and having fun with my friends. what a beautiful day it was!!!!
i’ve been looking for a new car for the past 6 months and i think i finally found it!!! this is called a Conquest Evade and it’s only $597,000, or 47 million yen! haha. i could never afford something like and even if i did, i wouldn’t buy it. i’d rather take my friends on a boat trip to the mentawai’s!
but hey, you have to agree with me that it looks pretty dam cool! imagine me pulling into the parking lot at pipeline with boards on the roof. haha. i would be the most hated person in hawaii.
still didn’t get to go through all the photos i took on my last trip. this was shikoku day 1. it was 3′, sunny, clean water, and super fun. reika noro backside.
toda-san lost a lot of weight. he told me he can finally see his own feet. haha. but in surfing, the lighter you are, the faster you will go. 2 fins out on the big bottom turn.
i promise all the photos are coming in the next day or so. just so much going on. been surfing everyday having fun! then planning to go on a trip next week so have lots to do.
