back to my early morning waking up, drinking kombucha, doing my pushups and pullups, checking the waves, and going surfing. i’ve been bothering people for the past 9 days and today, the only person i’ll be bothering is myself! i’m glad to be back to my real life!
wasn’t the london olympics something? it’s cool to see the world get together!!! it was a few weeks of world peace and if it was like this all year round, we’d be living in a wonderful world!
want to thank Yayoi-san for the continues volunteering support for the people of tohoku. i always like reading your email because it makes me happy that people still care. glad to hear the oysters are coming back. and glad to hear people from other countries are still volunteering. keep on going! and keep on smiling! see you in hawaii.

and last, Tokiwa Takako is my favorite actress in the world. from the 20 year old drama Aishiteru to Ittekure (Say you love me) till this day. she’s just growing and growing and more beautiful and beautiful. i was watching a recent drama starring her the other day and she’s by far my favorite. a beautiful woman and awesome actress. i wish i could jump into the tv and say “Aishiteru to Ittekure!!!!” haha. i think i’m crazy! haha.

HONOLULU FORD COMPLAINT, HOMEMADE SOUP AND SANDWICH, YAMARI
remember ford? i make an international call from japan the day before i leave to make sure the car is done. they said yes. so i arrive in honolulu airport, i get a taxi $25 ride to honolulu ford. not too happy paying that. i walk into the ford service office.
they give me the keys to the truck. i ask them what they did. they said they cleaned the engine, and filled the oil back up. wait! filled the oil back up? or changed the oil? they just filled the oil that came out back up. OMG! i was pissed! i specifically told them over the phone that i wanted the oil and filter changed because of all the rubbish that was probably flying into the engine for the past 5 months. another customer heard me talking to the service department and couldn’t believe what they done. and what they are doing about it. i was tired, jet lagged, and wanted to go home.
should i take the truck home? should i leave it there? i just wanted to go home!!!! then i thought, if i take the truck home, i’ll probably never go down there again. yeah, it’s pretty far from my house and i have no time. so i leave it there and demand for them to change the oil and filter. 4 hours later, they call me back and said the car is ready. i had to go all the way down there again. wanted to thank alyssa for the ride. anyway, if you want my opinion on the ford service department. “THEY SUCK!” they wasted my time, my international calls, and my taxi fee. when they sell you a car, they are the nicest people in the world. but once you pay and drive off the lot, they don’t give a crap about you. shame on HONOLULU FORD!!!!!
had lunch with alyssa. a healthy one. in fact, this place is one of my favorite sandwich/soup/salad places in hawaii. i had the big island roasted chicken sandwich.
everyday they have a different homemade soup. oishikatta!
from wakayama to tokyo to honolulu. thank you kimura-san and everybody at yamari. this is my lunch and dinner for the next few days.

anyway, good to be back home. everything except my ford experience went great. no sweating today, no feeling tired because of the humidity. i feel fresh and ready for anything. oh, can you believe the waves were flat ever since i left? then guess what? it came up today. yeah, nice south swell! lucky me!
