Sad Scuba and Loving Kaimuki

oh my gosh, the waves have been really good for the past week. i’ve been surfing so much! great weather everyday and feeling like summer. i have a feeling that this summer is going to be better than last! my boards are working perfect, my body and mind feel good, and i’m just waiting for fun surf in hawaii, big barrels in mentawai, and even bigger barrels in japan. the only thing i might need is more sunscreen because i’m burning!!!!

remember all that rain we had in early march in hawaii? well, the water was dirty, ugly, and brown. but the show must go on right? i was at the beach during that time and was surprised to see these japanese scuba divers. they were on a guide and was about to enter some dirty water with pretty big waves. i thought that was pretty dangerous. not only the currents and surge, i know that big tiger sharks come close in when the water is dirty like that. that day was no day to do a scuba dive lesson. i felt sorry for them. but hey, they survived right? i hope so.

welcome to kaimuki. i live near here and wouldn’t want to live anywhere else in the world. why? the beach is 5 minutes away, good restaurants 5 minutes away, freeway 5 minutes away, and everything is right around the corner. i’ve been living here for half my life and love it!

Something we will never forget! Congratulations again Hawaii!
