The Greatest Love of All

i was pretty shocked yesterday when i heard the news of Whitney Houston passing away. we grew up in the 1980’s listening to all of her greatest hits. i graduated from Kaiser High School and our class song in 1995 was The Greatest Love of All. so every time i hear the song, it brings back all the great memories. Whitney Houston just got more famous and famous throughout the years and i remember thinking to myself, “gosh, i don’t ever want to become famous.” she got stalked by the media and she had no private life. that’s the shitty part of fame. i got a text from my high school friends last night about the news and we are all equally bummed out. Whitney Houston might have passed away, but her awesome songs will never die.
this song is in the top 5 songs of my life. i know each and every word and will never forget it. it starts with “I believe the children are our future. Teach them well and let them lead the way.” what more can i say.
