Priceless means "No amount of money can buy"
i use the word PRICELESS a lot. why? because i think there are so many things in life that money can’t buy. take photos for example. i mentioned this on my blog many of times and i’ll say it again. i was surfing with this little girl out waikiki 8 years ago and somebody took a photo of us that is worth more than a million dollars to me. i don’t have a million dollars but if i did, i would have bought it. ever since then, if i see a priceless moment, i’ll grab my camera and capture it.
i was sitting at the TSSC contest watching some heats. on the side, i seen this father teaching his young son how to surf. i grabbed my camera and ran down there. i took 40 photos if this kid trying to surf. all keepers!
after a few attempts, the kid stood up and rode a long one. even dad in the back was surprised. i was looking at this through my lens just laughing. it was the cutest moment ever! i had flashbacks of my first wave as a little kid. a moment i will never forget.
after i shot these photos, i went to the mom and gave her my email address. of course it’s a present from go-naminori and me. this moments are priceless and if it makes a family happy, i’m happy. it’s my turn to give back what was given to me. i haven’t gotten any emails from her and i’m waiting because i don’t want these to go to waste. so if anybody knows this kid or father, please contact me. mahalo!
