Surprise means "Bikkuri"

last night was weird. we were working all afternoon in our go-naminori office in chigasaki. 7pm came and we decided to pick up eri-chan and have dinner. when i got in the car, my mind was set on my favorite chinese restaurant up the road. usually, it’s automatic, but last night was different. nobody wanted to go there? why? i was actually getting mad because my mind was set, and everybody else was thinking italian? italian? hey, we’re in japan!

they finally get my hard head to change so we decided to go to a restaurant near chigasaki station. i walked in and something was so weird!!!! super weird! i seen this table full of beautiful people. beautiful people that looked so familiar. i stop, i stare, i’m confused, i stare again, and things aren’t making sense. what the heck are all these people doing here? from wakayama, from shizuoka, from kamakura, from tokyo? what’s going on???

oh my gosh!!! come to find out, they made a surprise happy birthday party for me. i haven’t been more surprised in my life! i’m still tripping out and i’m still trying to recollect what the heck happened. my vision and mind went blank after my 3rd jacksan shot. haha. but all i remember is i had an awesome time with my close friends!

Toda-san: thank you for putting this together. thank you for driving all the way from mt. fuji.
Takami-san: thank you for always supporting me and being such a great friend for the past 19 years.

Eri-chan: thank you for being such a sweet honey girl. can i have a bikini?
Naoka: thank you for all the hard work with go-naminori. especially putting up with your selfish boss, me.
Ryosuke: thank you for taking go-naminori to another level. and thank you for being naoka’s new mother. please watch him.
Ayumi-san: thank you for reminding me of my first japanese girlfriend who’s name was also ayumi. sorry for staring at times. haha.
Shinomiya-san: thank you for giving me all the wonderful opportunities these past 8 years. i enjoy working with you.
Hikaru-san: thank you for joining our team. i always have fun surfing with you in hawaii. next is chiba right?

my head still hurts, i better go back to sleep.

Friends 4 Ever!

Golf, Cookies, Faith

it was the first time i golfed in a long time. i’ve never golfed anywhere else besides in hawaii so golfing in bali was a great experience. for every cart, 2 golf lady caddies count your score, wipe your clubs, pick up you balls, and even give you advice. a cooler full with drinks and beer on the side was nice too. i didn’t golf that great but who cares, i had fun!

i want to congratulate the Moniz family on opening their 2nd beach stand on the sand in front of the outrigger waikiki hotel. my sister, tony, and the kids work hard. people think teaching surfing is an easy job but it’s not. it’s pretty challenging but we all agree on one thing. “nothing can beat putting a smile on a newborn surfers face.” congratulations sis!

the cookie corner came out with the coolest idea! they sell pre-baked cookies. buy a pack, leave it in the freezer at home, and when you feel like eating cookies, put them in the oven and 12 minutes later, you have delicious cookies from the cookie corner.
