i just found out that Chiaki Okuyama won the US OPEN @ HUNTINGTON BEACH CALIFORNIA!!! what big news for Japan! for a japanese competitor to travel the world and win such a prestigious event is just amazing. Chiaki won another big international contest last year and is making history in the japan bodyboarding world. as one of the first original Go-Naminori bloggers, Chiaki has been dedicated to go-naminori ever since it started.
hey Chiaki, i want to congratulate you on your success and accomplishments. i know you have big dreams in life and your achieving them. your making japan proud and paving dreams for bodyboarders throughout the world. i always look up to your strong mind and “never give up” attitude. once you set your mind at something, you can do it! thanks for the inspiration, thanks for representing japan, and thanks for always supporting go-naminori. what’s next? you go girl!

Diamond Head: 3-4′ and windy.
Bowls: 3′ and inconsistent. 30 surfers out.
Ala Moana Park: 100 surfers and more inconsistent. Head high sets.
Wind: Tradewinds @ 20 mph.
Weather: Cloudy becoming Sunny!
Best Spot: Ala Moana side.
Plan: Surf today, BIG SOUTH SWELL TOMORROW!
