good morning. got 48 hours of things to do in this 24 hour day. can i please rent another kirby? shucks… i better get started. have a wonderful day!!!

web designer naoka and photographer nakajima-san in shonan. WE ARE GO-NAMINORI. see you soon….

it’s always good to see ema-chan. i’ve known her for about 15 years and the one awesome asset she has is her beautiful smile. she hasn’t changed one bit. even after giving birth to her beautiful daughter Lima-chan, she still looks like a teenager. i wonder what kind of face cream she’s using? i better get some. it was nice seeing you ema-chan…. by the way, nice sunrise shell necklace!

last, the first time i met Miya Inoue is about 5 years on a boat in the maldives. at that time, i had no idea who she was or what she did. for the 2 weeks, i got to know miya-chan pretty well. kind, funny, and energetic. in fact, i’ve never seen a girl jump off the 4th floor of a boat before. i still have that image in my head because it was pretty dam high. she jumped off pretty much laughing at us. i think at that time, she was an amateur bodyboarder, but now? Miya Inoue is The Japanese Professional Grand Champion Bodyboarder. congratulations miya-chan and welcome to Go-Naminori!!

The Beach Walk….

good evening. surfed pipeline, backdoor, and kewalos. all good!!! what a great day of surfing!! now it’s time to pack my suitcase, or should i say, just take it as it is because i didn’t even unpack it yet, and head to japan. got a typhoon to chase and the big 35 year anniversary contest and party for my awesome sponsor Dove Wetsuits! i better get going cause i have many things to do.. have a great evening….

walking down the beach path for the first time in the upcoming north shore big wave season is always fun. i take that walk 100 times a season but the first time is always the most memorable. why? because it’s my official start of the season and hearing the waves and seeing everybody getting barreled makes me feel good because my turn is coming soon!!! see you out there!!!

yuji and nanako hoshino came to hawaii many times before. but today was the first time they ate romy’s shrimp, followed by ted’s chocolate haupia pie. and it was also yuji’s first time surfing the north shore. when i picked him up from his hotel, i asked him, “what’s your surfing level?” he said he can take off, and go down the line. i said “ok, let’s go surf pipeline.” and pipeline is where we surfed!!! he caught some good waves and after we came out of the water, i was thinking to myself, “oh my gosh, lucky he didn’t get hurt because the waves were very dangerous.” i think he felt the same… haha.. i guarantee he won’t forget today….

we waited over an hour for our shrimp plates. but you know what? it makes it all that tastier when you get it. i’ll wait there for 3 hours if i had too. nothing beats romy’s shrimp!! remember to order the #1 and ask for prawns instead of shrimp. you’ll love it….
