EPIC EAST SIDE DIVING….

good evening. woke up early and didn’t even check the waves. didn’t want to see it going off again knowing the bodyboard contest is on again. too much pain…. so loaded up my boat and went for some relax stress free underwater world diving. i was checking the forecast and this week and next week is going to be epic for surf. waves all around the island, no contest, and somewhere guarantee offshore. so with that in mind, i had to go diving today because i won’t be able to go for a while.. by the way, i heard the waves on the north shore was shitty today. lucky me….[:????????$B!r(B:]

the diving forecast, east side=EPIC!!!

this was half day catch. i took this around 12pm….. almost full…

i took this photo around 3pm and we weren’t done yet. this cooler was full by 5pm. now everybody has fresh fish for the next week. steamed fish, nitsuke, fried, or sashimi. all good….

shawn always catches fish. today, he caught many fishes. so much that i could barely pick up his stringer. shawn’s the man. i hope someday i can get that good. or just a little close….

the east side of hawaii is normally onshore and dirty water. maybe 10 days out of the year it gets perfect offshore with clean water. today was one of those days. it reminded me of tahiti….
**and last, got 9 emails from people asking to see the women’s pipeline contest photos. please wait because this guy is too busy. too busy surfing, too busy diving, and too busy doing things i love to do. sorry but that’s my life. women’s pipe gallery coming up soon on GO-NAMINORI.COM…..

Hawaii's Military Muscle….

good morning. last day for the contest so i’m not going out there to suffer anymore. back to back swells on the way with light winds. and get this, a big south swell coming up on sunday. i can wait one more day. umm, what should i do? oh yeah, diving right? right….

got a lot of good photos from yesterday’s pipe but your going to just have to wait. i’m too busy today. it’s sunny, no wind, and crystal clear water. i can’t stay in my house any longer…
**remember about that broken satellite in space that was going to fall down somewhere? well, the U.S Navy off hawaii took one of their 40 million dollar missiles and blew it up in space last night. that’s freakin nuts. some are saying the U.S is trying to flex their military muscle. shit, that’s one expensive muscle. and guess who paid for it? yeah, me. not all, but some….
**and so sorry about the eclipse last night. i was trying to find out what time it was then finally found out that you can’t see it from hawaii. that sucked. got so many emails about the time and stuff. sorry guys. my bad….
this is what it looked like last year from kapiolani park. pretty amazing yeah? yeah…

Chicks Score Perfect Pipeline….

good evening. once again, clean epic conditions on the north shore. got out there around 8am and everywhere was clean but nowhere was epic. get it? kind of weird everywhere except pipe. had the women’s bodyboard contest so jumped in for a few photos and to cheer on the girls….

yumie charged pretty hard. she actually caught the biggest wave of the day. this big set was rolling in and it jacked up right in front of her. i yelled “GO” but i knew she couldn’t hear me. she turned around and just charged it with a happy smiling face. she looked like she was enjoying herself out there…. by the way, she got an 8.5 out of 10 points for this wave. yeah yumie….

i just zoomed in on yumie’s photo and she looks so happy taking off. having fun in the biggest contest of the year. that’s pretty cool….

then check out this wave chiaki caught. pretty sick!! i’d say today was perfect pipe for the girls…. last year was perfect big pipe but today was perfect medium pipe. gosh, i wanted to borrow chiaki’s bodyboard, put on my g-string, and enter the contest…. that’s how good it was….

and wanted to congratulate aoi koike for winning the contest. she was the girl to beat today and nobody could beat her. great job aoi…. and congratulations to all the japanese pro competitors…

dove wetsuits motto is “Always Searching for that Perfect Wave”. i found one today…. wish i was in there smiling giving you a peace sign.[:?????$B!x(B???:] much more photos coming tomorrow….
**final day for the contest is tomorrow so from friday, it’s my turn. i’ve been so patient this year so i think i deserve some stand up barrels… “Always Searching for that Perfect Wave” [:?????$B!x(B???:][:?????$B!x(B???:][:?????$B!x(B???:]

**and last, went to haleiwa on the way back to town and seen bob-san, owner of Bob Surf Shop in Shikoku. bob-san is always surfing out at haleiwa on the biggest and craziest days. here he is with his friends. what’s up bob-san….
