ラウンド1: 今日波が上がってきたから、混んできたよ。沢山のサーファーたちが今年のサマースウェルを楽しんでいる。

僕は叫んでいた。「パドル、パドル、パドル！！！」ってね。僕が凄く大きな声で叫んでいるから、みんな緊張しがちなんだよね。Haha.

今年の夏は凄く一貫性のある波なんだ。沢山スモールからミディアムのスウェルがあって、そんなに混んでいないんだ。

ラウンド2: 仲良しの競争相手がいると凄いことにみんなさらに上手くサーフィンできるんだ。ボーイズはもっと高いレベルへお互いプッシュし合っていたよ！

今日の午後の波は今朝よりももっとビッグになったんだ。しかもコンディションもさらに良くなったよ。エピックだった！

この波を通してスピードが出ているナカホドさん。

この景色は最高だよ。サーフィンして、写真を撮って、そして乗るどの波もエンジョイしている。

ハシモトさんはハワイでだけサーフィンをするんだ。それは凄くクールだって思うよ！

雨が降ったり、太陽が出たり、沢山の波があり、そして沢山の笑いがある。ボーイズとアメージングな一日だったよ！

This has to be my favorite angle as a photographer.  It captures the view we all see as surfers.  Hamaoka-san enjoying the sunrise.  

As surfers, we all watch out for each other.  Making sure the ride is good, and making sure everyone is safe.  Tamiko-san looking good and safe on this one.  

Ikezaki-san smiling from take off to pull out.  I could see him smiling from behind.

Back to 2011:  Boat trip to Timor, Indonesia.  Kekoa Mau riding a long and perfect right.  Only our boat and only us out.  These kind of sessions don’t happen these days.  

Timor had some very interesting fish.  We were eating fresh fish every single day of our 12 day trip.  Living the healthy boat trip life…
