Crazy Happy!

It’s so crazy how things grow so fast here in the valley.  Everything is really green and you don’t even have to water your plants.  The morning showers takes care of that.  Check out the lemon on the tree I just got!  It turned yellow today!

It’s been 12 years of pure happiness.  When I first brought Mayuki home, I was the happiest man in the world.  I still remember that day clearly because it was a dream come true.  This is and will always be my dream boat.

This was the very first time I took her out.  The mechanic who built the boat was with me because he was supposed to teach me how to drive it.  Once we left the harbor, I pushed full throttle and started jumping over waves as the guy was holding on for his dear life.  He must have thought I was crazy!  Yes, I was crazy happy!  When we got back to the harbor, he got off the boat, didn’t say anything, and walked back to his car.  That was the last time I seen or heard from him.  I think he was in shock.  Haha.

March 16, 2025 Hawaii Surf Report

Tokura-san enjoying Hawaii.  This is surfing…

Good morning 3:45am.
North shore 2-4′ and good.
Ala Moana knee high.
Diamond Head waist high.
South/East winds at 10mph.
Sun, clouds, and warm.
Going to the sea.
Have a wonderful day!

No Deer!

Another beautiful day in Hawaii.  Morning surf at Ala Moana was fun.  Little bigger than yesterday, less wind, and many more waves.

I was putting new fishing line and cleaning my fishing poles.  For some reason, I felt like fishing!

I was talking to one of the aunties this morning at Bowls.  She told me that she was sick for 6 years and almost died.  From being totally healthy, to almost dying overnight.  Why?  She told me that one of the Uncles at Bowls gave her deer sashimi.  She ate it, got terribly sick, gave some to her cat, and her cat died.  It took 6 years to get the virus out of her body including chemotherapy treatments.

One part of me was happy that she told me about it.  And one part of me was sad because deer sashimi is my favorite.  I’m not sure if I will be eating it anymore.  She kept on telling me over and over not to take the chance.  That got me thinking.

So now when I go to Molokai, I probably won’t be dipping raw deer fillets in wasabi/shoyu and eating it like a caveman anymore.  Bummer…
