I had a great time surfing with Mukaitsubo-san this morning.  Super fun waves with clean conditions.

Beautiful skies and beautiful rides.  Such a great surfer!

Mighty Mouse caught some really good waves too.

I had a fun time fishing and diving with Joshua.  On the way over to one of his secrets spots, he told me “Uncle, I guarantee you we will catch a Uku in 5 minutes.”  I told him “bullshit, no way can predict that.”  He put his fishing line in the water, and caught a Uku in less than 3 minutes.  I couldn’t believe it!!!  It’s unbelievable how much knowledge he has.  We had so much fun spending the whole day on the boat.  After I saw this photo, I got a little emotional.  The fun we have together in the middle of the ocean was priceless.  Thank you Joshua for teaching me how to fish, and thank you for making me so proud.

It’s been so fun having Boot Camp with different people, different levels, and different lives.  But what everyone has in common is to get better and have fun.  This particular day, there were 5 of us teaching each other, encouraging each other, and laughing together.  It was a wonderful surf session as everyone came in a better surfer.  Making friends while watching everyone progress is what surfing is all about.  Thank you boys and girls for the fun morning!
