it’s only been a day and i already miss these kids. we had such a great time together.
anybody seen a ford explorer in the market city parking lot for a long time? yeah, that was mine. as we were pulling out of foodland, my engine died and that was it. i had to get it towed to my house and pay $75. can somebody please come over and steal it? it would make my life much easier….
these next 3 photos were taken by maki-san. her and matsu were our photographers that night at the bbq. this is mari-chan and mito-chan. i swear they look like sisters. i still remember walking into a japanese restaurant and mistakenly taking mari-chan for mito-chan. i hardly even knew her and i kept on walking up to her because i wanted to give her a hug. then i stopped a few feet before because something was a little different. i felt pretty stupid. one of the most embarrassing moments of my life for sure.
reid and his wife yuko have been supporting We Are One from the beginning. i was stoked for reid to finally meet one of our tohoku friends.
shun-kun on his 3rd slice of ted’s bakery pie. it was so sweet!
*last, been getting reports these past few days on the next typhoon heading to japan. the banks are set up, my boards are ready, my camera gear, and i’m ready for anything! can’t wait!

Kombucha Buzz/My Boat/Canon EF
i’m getting everybody on the kombucha buzz!!!! matsu got hooked 2 days ago, and today, Takahashi-san got a taste of it and liked it. my healthy power drink that i hope somebody can help me find in japan. it would be a dream to be able to wake up every morning in japan and drink some kombucha. anyway, had super fun surfing with Takahashi-san today. good waves, no crowd!
early this morning my brother was outside hooking my boat up to his car. they were going to the kaneohe sandbar and today was probably the best day of the year for that. matsu and miwa-san got lucky and jumped on the boat. gosh, it must have been beautiful out there.
i call miwa-san at 2pm. then 3pm. nobody answered. i knew they were having fun. then i passed by kaneohe boat harbor and seeing my boat coming in with sunburned smiles. was i jealous? yes i was…..
came home last week and seen this box in front of my door. yeah! my new lens!!!
when i first started shooting, i use to wait at home for my new equipment. it’s been a week now and i haven’t even had time to open the box. but i’ll be taking it to japan with me so be ready for some crazy surfing photos. another typhoon heading to japan now. i’m starting to get excited!
