Being on an island is ideal for us surfers. One side could be onshore but the other side will be offshore. So if you look good, you will find a perfect wave somewhere. This was that perfect wave on this day.
Surfing onshore waves is fun too but you have to watch out for the jellyfish. This one is called the “Portuguese man-o-war.” It stings for the first day, then gets itchy for the next week. 
Keep on driving and searching on this island and you will find waves no matter what. And if you’re lucky, you will have the whole ocean to yourself. 
High risk equals high reward. Good waves for a sting? I’ll risk that any day. 
Been working on projects every evening when I get home. This one was installing parking sensors. It’s my first time doing it and I just saved $200 because that’s how much the shop wanted to charge me.
