can you believe how fast the Ritz Carlton is going up? super luxury condo in a not so luxury part of waikiki. actually the neighborhood is a little scary. if you ask anyone that lived their life in hawaii, you would know exactly what i mean. not a safe place at night.
so bummed my alcohol analyzer just broke! my friend John gave it to me as a present. it’s very expensive but when you think about it, it’s a small price to pay rather than going to jail. in japan, it is totally illegal to drink alcohol and drive. but in hawaii, it is legal. well, so long you don’t overdo it. you can drink a couple of beers and drive anywhere. even if you get pulled over, you won’t get arrested. so this alcohol analyzer tests your breath to see if you’ve had too much. 0.07 alcohol blood level content is the limit. so every time i drive home, i check mine just in case. if i blow under a 0.07, i drive home. if i blow over it, i sleep in my car for a little. better safe than sorry. and no, i do not encourage drunk driving, i encourage safe and smart driving.
had a great time surfing with Hikaru-san yesterday. stoked to see her get so good!
super good riding with perfect style. this is a perfect example on how to look forward and bend your knees.
great job Hikaru-san! keep on surfing!
just made a fresh batch of kombucha.
instead of spending $4.50/bottle, it costs me 0.20 cents a bottle. and tastes better too.
and talking about tasting better. this sashimi platter in ishinomaki only costs 2000 yen or $16. if i could buy this in hawaii for that price, i’d eat it everyday! i miss japan so much!
