i packed up my friend Shane’s diving gear he let me borrow. i’d have to say all this gear is worth well over $1,500. i really appreciate him letting me borrow it because without it, there would be no tuna for me. flying to an exotic country, diving 80′ in the deep blue unpredictable ocean, waiting for a giant to come your way, and landing a tuna is a spear fisherman’s ultimate dream. it’s like a surfer getting the biggest barrel of his life. it’s like a golfer getting a hole in one. just accomplishing one of these things happens to one in a million people in this world. i already accomplished them all and you wouldn’t want to know what will be next for me. maybe winning a lottery? haha.
i do yoga at home all the time. but yesterday, i wanted to get pushed a little more so i went to take a pretty hard class.
i couldn’t believe how i completed the class without quitting. it was so hard but my mental energy took over my physical body so it turned out to be easy. and while i was meditating, i was thinking about how yoga, surfing, free diving, and traveling can all interlace with each other. it’s all about the breath. my trick his 3 breaths per minute and everything will be ok. even when i’m freaking scared walking down a dark alley in downtown havana.
your mind controls your body. if you can imagine doing it, you can do it. take it from a guy who never use to believe in himself.
got my passport back last night. “The World is Yours!” or mine! haha. next time i get a few days off, i’m going to get my first stamp. and the first stamp i want on my new passport is “JAPAN!” i need some sushi in my body!
