Saito-san must be so stoked to surf with his son Hayato-kun for the first time. anyone would be.
after catching a few waves, Hayato-kun told me “um, i think i want to go surfing again tomorrow. surfing is so fun!” haha.
then of course i fall off on purpose just so i can get a smile like this. if i can make a kid smile like this, i would fall down everywhere i go.
we surfed for over 2 hours and Hayato-kun caught about 12 waves from the outside all the way in. he wanted more and more but he also wanted to go in because i was telling him about the delicious shave ice i’ll take him to.
it was Saito-san’s second surf and he surfed ten times better than last. amazing balance and determination.
yes, not only kids smile at the end of the wave. haha.
Hayato-kun kept on talking and talking. here is some of the things he said.
“wow, surfing is like a jet coaster ride! but much better!”
“wow, i want to surf again and again!”
“wow, my Dad and you fell more times than me today!” haha.
a very happy bonding time. this is another seed to a great Father and Son relationship. it will only grow stronger and stronger!
