this mornings top news: FIRE DESTROYS BOAT AT WAIKIKI YACHT CLUB. omg! first thing that came to my mind was “MAYUKI????” thank goodness it wasn’t her.
went surfing with the wonderful Aida-san family this morning. so happy to see the kids growing up and up. thank you guys for the wonderful time!
i came home to change boards and get ready for an afternoon surf. then i load up the truck, jumped in, and felt something wrong??? first, my sunrise shell was missing. second, my sunglasses were missing. then i finally realized that someone broke into my car and stole everything!!!! over $2,000 of stuff gone including my binoculars, watches, gopro, fins, money, and everything else. and yes, the gopro i just bought last week. that kind of sucked that somebody came in front of my house and did that. he’s freaking lucky i didn’t catch him because if i did, i would torture him before i call the police.
anyway, went to surf with Mochizuki-san this evening. after i caught my first wave, everything was ok. and watching Mochizuki-san riding so many good waves made me happy too. a cool surfer girl from Fuji, Japan. no photos from today but memories last forever in our minds…
driving home with no watch and no camera. feels like i’m back to such a simple life. and made me realize how complicated a watch and camera has made my life. luckily i have an old gopro i will use from now on, and if i lose it or it gets stolen again, i’m done with buying another one. this is a sign for me to slow down and live an even simpler life than i already am… haha.
