Welcome Naoya Kimoto Go-Naminori Blog….

good morning. 5am monday morning. why am i up so early? i don’t know. rather than tossing and turning, i’d figure i’d get things done on my computer. i’m checking the waves now and it’s kind of hard to tell because it’s so dark. i can see 4-6′ sets at pipe but the swell looks a little disorganized. kind of breaking close together but i seen a few waves spit. it looks off shore but not. know what i mean? it’s going to be a weird week of winds but remember, we live on an island. so if somewhere is onshore, somewhere is offshore. go find your spot and let me know how it is. i’m going searching…. have a nice day….

BIG NEWS!! japanese professional photographer and world traveler naoya kimoto’s blog starts now. better known as kinsan, you won’t find another person in this world more dedicated to his job than him. kinsan’s started shooting right out of college and has been one of the top water photographers in the world even since then. he’s traveled more than anybody i know. one sunny, rainy, big, or small days, kinsan always wakes up the earliest and is on the beach before most surfers eyes are open. i’ve been traveling around the world and all over japan with kinsan for the past 15 years or so and there’s never a dull moment. his blog’s going to be interesting and with waimea bay possibly breaking this wednesday, he’ll probably be on it. in the water at dusk, and out at dawn. i’ve seen it before. and if your a japanese pro surfer that’s been surfing the north shore, you should thank this guy because i’m sure he didn’t miss your wave. how could he when he’s on the beach all day? welcome to GO-NAMINORI….

kinsan, tokura-san, kubota, and isao on the kava high in kandavu, fiji. when ever i look at this photo, 1999 seems like yesterday. like i said before, never a dull moment…
