good evening. hey everybody, thanks for the calls today telling me that the waves were going off. i’m still in barrel heaven and ain’t ready to snap out of it yet. give me a few more days and i’ll see you all in the water. you can take any wave you want because i’m just going out to have a good time. i’m going to surf perfect barrels again in june so i ain’t in any rush… have a great evening…..

when ever i get a cut on my foot in a third world country, it gets infected really fast. i guess because everything is dirty. it got pretty bad in malaysia so as soon as i got home, i jumped in the water to clean it out. then yesterday, my long dive fins were rubbing my cut all day long. it was killing me. but at the same time, i could feel the poisons coming out. when i got home last night, my cut was clean and fresh. fresh like it just happened. it’s not swollen anymore and it will heal properly. well, that’s if i don’t go diving for a while.. haha.. it takes a lot to keep me out of the water…

this guy from spain sent me an email asking me why the heck do i have dead fish around my waist. it’s because i put it there so i don’t have to swim back to the boat after every fish i get. plus, it attracts more fish. and sharks too… the first time i seen my friend diving like this, i thought he was freaking crazy. now i guess i’m crazy… it’s not too smart diving like this and i don’t recommend it at all….

what’s going on in this world? this guy in china took this girl hostage. these things shouldn’t happen. why don’t a cop just put a bullet right between the guys eyes? that would end it pretty quick…

hi there, how is everything going? i’ve been getting ready for my trip to california for the volcom VQS contest. hey guys, i’ve been ripping. i can do airs and tail slides. my brothers are all sick so i’m staying away. my uncle kirby is the best uncle in the whole wide world. uncle kirby rips, gets barreled, and surfs better than kelly slater. i wish i could be like my uncle someday and travel around the world surfing good waves. my brothers also think uncle kirby is the best surfer in the world. they all love him and said that they will wash his car one time a week. and wax his surfboard before he surfs. gosh, my uncle kirby is the man….

BABY BATH TIME….

good morning. wow, what a surprise. pipeline is going off. it’s looking 3-5′ and pretty dam good. clean conditions with 20 guys out. town is small. knee/waist high at bowls with 12 surfers. it’s another beautiful sunny day in paradise. no wind now so get it before the onshore winds come. have a nice day!!!

this was round 2. i put a belt kui around my waist to carry the fish i catch. it’s pretty hard work and can get dangerous, especially when you have sharks coming around to see what’s for dinner. i seen 2 sharks yesterday that came in pretty dam close. imagine diving to the bottom waiting for fish, then as you start coming back up, you look behind you and there is a shark staring you in the face? it’s kind of freaky and a good way to get my heart pumping….

this is called a “munu” or “joe lewis”. put it in a steamer and you got yourself a gourmet meal. i want to thank kyle, cathy, and james for the awesome day of diving… let’s do it again!!
***ok, everybody’s been asking me about the waves at HT’s or Lances Rights. we absolutely scored the best of the best. a lot of the guys out were saying that it doesn’t get better than what we got it. 4-6′ and perfect peeling rights. at times, there were only 1 or 2 guys out. i shot this video clip from inside the boat while i was eating lunch. you can see how good the waves were and you can also see zuccho watching it while image surfing. we got so many barrels and there were also so many waves that nobody was on. i counted 4 empty waves in a row. it could have been you. watch this clip and dream. and remember, dreams do come true…..
and for the guys that couldn’t make it on this trip. i’m so sorry…. and i’ll say it again. i’m so sorry…. you just missed your chance at riding the best waves of your life…. but don’t get down because i’m already planning a trip for next year. if you miss that one, i’m not going to say “i’m so sorry,” i’m going to say “you blew it”…. again…
