North shore chest high and good.
Ala Moana waist high and good.
Diamond Head chest high and good.
Light trade winds at 10mph.
Sunny and warm.

Day 5 of 2023 and still enjoying the early mornings.  

Hiro-san connecting with the ocean and riding in the dark.  

My other student was further down surfing the peak all by himself.  Super happy to see him so comfortable out there.  

I use to be able to ride in front of Hiro-san but not anymore.  He’s turning so fast now that I would get run over.  Haha.  

Nothing beats surfing early in the morning right into the sunrise.  Beautiful year so far!  

Then we went back out for Round 2.  The waves were way bigger than this morning.  And way less people too!  Score!  

This man is loving life…

Yesterday was the 4th day of 2023.

6:45am:  Dawn Patrol

3:18am:  Afternoon Patrol

3:19:  Close call again

5:15pm:  Colorful drive home

6:24pm:  30 minutes in the sauna with meditation

7:15pm:  Went to sleep very happy. Namaste!
