Bali is a very sacred island.  there is religion everywhere you look.  temples, celebrations, and thousands of firm believers of Hinduism.  so when you go there, you have respect the culture and the people.  that goes when you travel to any country in the world.  

here you have a Russian Yogi influencer who decided to take a nude photo next to this tree in Bali.  well, that happened to be a 700 year old sacred banyan tree at a very sacred temple.  trees are considered to be holy in Hindu culture because they are thought to be the homes of the gods.  not only did locals get angry, the Government hunted down this girl and arrested her. acts like this can result in 6 years in jail and a $60,000 fine.  so next time you travel to sacred countries like Bali, keep your clothes on!

the South swell was still hanging around this morning.  still overhead and perfect.  

some of the young surfers ripping.  this kid came so close that he almost chopped off my fingers with his fins!  but as a photographer, these are the kind of photos you want.  

then the World Champion and Olympic Gold medal super star Carissa Moore paddles out.  i like to watch her presence in the ocean and how she hunts for waves.  it’s so cool to see.

and when she catches one, everybody is watching.
