got a call from my North shore foil friends at 5am. headed out to meet them at Jurassic Park in the dark.
paddled out and it was so beautiful! foiled for an hour and was completely satisfied.
the waves were something like this. you wouldn’t believe how long one ride is. probably the longest on the island…
every time i drive out to the East side, i get happy just looking at nature. it’s super beautiful!
super stoked to see Uncle Brian and Kaiborg. thanks for the early morning call boys!
then came back to Waikiki because Nanami-san and the boys wanted to try something different.
today wasn’t crowded at all! i was actually surprised because the last time i surfed Canoes, there were 100 guys out. this is still dangerous, but nothing compared to normal…
ever since the first time we went surfing some 6 years ago, i was trying to get Nanami-san and her 2 sons on the same wave. and it finally happened!!! i got the photo i’ve been dreaming of. never give up! and excellent surfing guys!!!
Jurassic Park to Concrete Jungle…
Support Local and Give Aloha…
it’s November and we’re still seeing some nice South swells. i have a feeling this Winter in town will be great!
and this is one of the only places in the world you can surf in a bikini all year round…
i like to watch surfing from the back of the wave. you can see and feel the ride a lot better than from the front.
“Not all who wander are lost.” i love this saying…
recently, i’ve been gradually going out and eating. and when i do, i want to support the local establishments. if any local shop could survive since March because of the lockdown, that’s strength and commitment. this is Pipeline Cafe in Kaimuki…
and when you buy something from these local establishments, please leave the staff a tip. they are working very hard in these hard times just trying to make a living. i respect that a lot. so be nice to them and give some aloha…
