there is a super good surf and foiling spot near Diamond Head. i’ve been hearing for decades about rich white people that try to control it. so recently, i’ve been foiling out there with the boys. there’s been a white lady that lives nearby that hates foilers. she’s been yelling, swearing, and harassing foilers this past few months. she even tried to have her dogs attack one of my good friends. then after she yells at foilers, she calls the police on them. unbelievable…
fronting multi million dollar homes, some people think that spot is theirs. BUT, it’s not. the ocean is for everyone. anyway, getting back to that angry lady. she hasn’t been seen for the past week so i asked my friend “what happened to that lady?” he said “the other day, a stand up paddle boarder ran her over. so she’s traumatized and doesn’t surf there anymore.” i thought to myself “a stand up paddler? that’s pretty funny. she probably was so focused on hating foilers that she forgot about the other long boarders and stand up paddlers.” so the moral of the story is “karma’s a bitch.”
in Hawaii, the ocean can’t be controlled and it can’t be bought. the more people that hate foilers, the more foilers will show up. the ocean is for everybody. go out and enjoy it. and if you can’t, go somewhere else because us foilers aren’t going anywhere. plain and simple…

Joshua Moniz in the Blue…
went to Bowls and saw the sailboat that ran onto the reef yesterday. as soon as i pulled up, i could smell the oil. omg…
some of the local boys found fishing poles and all kinds of goodies in the water that fell off the sailboat. and of course they took it home. one of the boys told me “the sailboat ruined our reef so they have to pay. that’s why i took home the fishing poles.” i could actually understand that…
they were trying to salvage the sailboat all day but it’s still there. what a total mess down there at Bowls. sad to see that…
been having fresh fruit smoothies almost everyday. super good for this hot Summer weather.
saw this little Kei van on the highway! omg, it was so cool!
i use to drive one of these all the time i went to Shikoku. and i loved it! now i’m thinking about getting one. it’s a perfect surf car!
