Max Rip Off!

had to go out to Hawaii Kai yesterday so stopped by Seth’s house.  seen a brand new longboard that caught my eye.  it was a VESSO shaped by Gen Asano.  Kelia has one and she said it’s like magic.  so i’m thinking about ordering one soon.  but first, i’m still waiting for my twin fin.  Gen told me he shaped it yesterday so i should be getting it next week!  heard Tony had the UFC fight on so i walked across the street and watched it with him.  i haven’t seen any kind of live sports since 4 months ago when the world stopped…it was Alexander Volkanovski vs. Max Holloway.  of course i’m cheering for Max because he’s Hawaiian, and also the Moniz boys train with him.  i watched the whole fight and he won for sure!!! BUT, the judges didn’t think so.  OMG, Tony and I were shocked!!!  and so was the rest of Hawaii and most of the world.  it’s so sad to see somebody train so hard, beat the other guy, then lose by judges.  such a bummer…

anyway, i heard Hawaii won’t open on August 1st after all.  the governor is probably going to push it back another month because of the outbreak on the mainland.  oh well, another month of vacation for me.  i’m not complaining…

Windy Weekend…

small waves, strong winds, and lots of people out this early Saturday morning.  went for a quick foil and had a hard time.  BUT, i got one really good wave that made my day.  just as simple as that…i’ve been surfing so early that when i come in, it’s still not even 7am!  but still early so perfect for my morning workout.  fresh air and lovely weather…took a drive out to the West side today.  driving by the rail is pretty sad.  i just look at it and think how much money it cost, and how it just ruined our beautiful landscape.  i’m not much into politics, but i know that politics played a big role in the rail project.then went to pick up some fresh eggs.  another perfect day in paradise!
