Nakahodo-san chooses early morning now which is very smart. why surf with other people when you can surf by yourself?
but you better be able to see in the dark because it’s pretty dark when we paddle out. and you better not be scared of sharks too! haha.
when the sun comes out, we’re already satisfied and ready to start the day. look how beautiful it is!
now that Ala Moana Beach Park is closed, all the surfers are coming to Bowls. seen some guys i haven’t seen in 20 years out recently. hope they all go back to Ala Moana Park when it reopens. haha. surfed 2 more rounds but want to talk about something else first.
today, the government just announced the 14 day quarantine starting Thursday, March 26th. that means that everybody coming to Hawaii, including residents must quarantine for 14 days. no exceptions…
and if you don’t follow the rules, you can get fined $5,000 and up to 1 year in jail. not worth it everybody. this next month is going to be interesting. Hawaii is going to return to like how it was 20 years ago. i’m going with the flow and maybe in the end, we will all appreciate this island a whole lot more…
and to Kimura-san who’s surfing in Bali. PLEASE GO BACK TO JAPAN!!!
Hawaii 14 Day Quarantine Law
Keiki Surf in Hawaii!
4 year old Reina-chan saw my youtube video so wanted to surf with me someday. that day has come! she was so excited!!!
this was her first time surfing and she was a natural. super confident and super cute.
at the end of each ride, i always fall off on purpose. that usually makes kids laugh. then from there, it’s all about having fun!
Reina-chan didn’t want to go in but i had Mom and Dad on the beach waiting for their turn.
so went to take out Mommy Mamiko-san. omg, she popped up on her first wave and had super good balance. smiling all the way too!
perfect form! very impressed.
then i went in to get Dad, but Reina-chan wanted to surf again. so yeah, i don’t say no to kids…
i had a blast with this cutie. i was making her laugh the whole time and i’m sure she thought i was crazy.
then it was Daddy Hasegawa-san’s turn. he got up super fast and rode super long waves.
so happy to see people so happy!
then went in and Reina-chan wanted to surf again. round 3? really? so yeah, why not? if i can see a kid smile like this, i’d do anything…
Seira-chan was out so i told Reina-chan to watch her. then we surfed a couple waves together and now i’m pretty sure she wants to surf like Seira-chan…
then a turtle popped up right next to us!!! that scared Reina-chan so there was no round 4. haha.
want to thank the Hasagawa-san family for the wonderful session. glad you guys made it to Hawaii and glad to have shared Reina-chan’s first surf. can’t wait to take her again!
