started off this morning long boarding with Seira-chan. smooth surfing…
she wants to get better in long boarding for this trip so we will focus on that.
and also cross stepping too. each day, this girl gets better so maybe a longboard champion soon?
then went in to switch boards. 2 brand new boards ready to get tested on todays perfect waves!
after all these years of training, i thought Oshima-san was ready for a 5’11 short board. it was his dream and today was the day for that dream to come true.
from his first wave, he paddled in perfectly, and surfed perfectly. so stoked!
step by step throughout the years and now riding such a short board almost looked too easy for Oshima-san.
i didn’t have to ask how his new board was. i just saw his big smile after each wave and i already knew it was good…
and my new board working super good too. it’s an incredible feeling to ride new toys that work perfectly!

came home, took a power nap, then headed to the mountains with the boys. omg, we had a blast!!!
when young people dream big, i do my best to make it happen. dreams are real, and dreams come true. that’s why Seira-chan is back in Hawaii. her big dreams continue…

i asked Seira-chan what she wants to do for this trip. she had lots of things on her list so we will check them off as we go. 
good surfing on day 1. this is what i want to see in every one of my students. that means they are remembering things. yeah…
so yeah, we’re going to enjoy the ocean and nature as much as possible. and since Seira-chan has no fear anymore, it will be a challenge for me to test her out. maybe free diving with sharks will work? we shall see…
