Surfer Construction

for a Japanese, it must be amazing to start off your new year in a brand new place.  Ishi-san surfing at Bowls for the first time and just loving the waves, weather, and vibe.    and i was loving his surfing.  when ever i’m riding on the side, i can see the stoke in the eyes.  it was so cool watching Ishi-san riding so many good waves.a good surfing day on the start of 2020!  it’s going to be a great year! want to thank Taki-san and Megu-san for the senbei!a perfect snack after a perfect surf…this year i’m going to dedicate more time and energy on taking care of my house.  i wish my Grandpa was still here so i could show him the new technology…no need pound nails anymore and smash your finger.  just press the button and a nail will fly out!  i should keep this in my car so if anybody drops in on me, i can shoot a nail in their leg.  haha…i spent 5 hours working like a carpenter.  it was so rewarding…and as you can see, everybody makes mistakes.  haha.  my tape ruler got caught in the saw blade and blew up.  good thing it wasn’t my finger!!!

Jurassic Park and Box of Goodies…

located on the other side of the island, there is a very fun wave.  i call it Jurassic Park and it takes 1 hour to get there.  but once you arrive, you will see the most breathtaking views…Carter and Hayato getting ready for our session.  this is where us boys have the most fun.  it’s in the water flying together!  all foilers are cool.  everyone supporting each other.  it made me realize how different foilers are from surfers.  in surfing, there are many different groups.  some get along, some don’t.  whereas in foiling, we are all one group who get along…i was so happy to see John John foiling so calmly.  this guy is a true inspiration for the world.  i congratulated him and told him “hey, congratulations on making the USA Olympic Team.  and i’m glad it’s you and not Kelly.”  we both laughed…good to see the foiling community full with people from all walks of life.  just in this day, i saw lifeguards, a World Champion, MMA Black Belts, Firefighters, surf instructors, kids, and just a whole lot of us enjoying the most junkiest wave on the island.  haha…i came home to open a box of goodies from Ozaki-san.  so exciting!!!omg!  goodies from Japan and Okinawa!!!  thank you Ozaki-san and Ai-san for the goodies.  see you guys next new years!!!i love to see fish, and i love to eat fish.  so now i will eat this.  thank you guys again!
