it’s the 5th day of the year and it seems like i’ve been very lucky as far as full rainbows. this morning was no different as Taiko-san got to see his first Hawaiian rainbow in his life.
and when i can capture the moment, i won’t fail. this is like a dream photo for me as a photographer and i’m sure it’s a dream photo for a surfer too.
the rainbow was out all morning long. what an amazing year so far!
then another wave comes so i yell “go!” here is the result! surfer under the rainbow. once again, this is my dream shot…
thank you Taiko-san for the amazing morning surfing. i’m glad you like Hawaii and i’m glad you got to experience something so special.
after i dropped Taiko-san off, i went straight to Jurassic park to foil with my friends. the 3 of us hanging out and enjoying the same wave. good to foil with you guys Hayato and Carter!
it’s crazy how fun you can have on such a small wave. it’s been a very long time since i got to foil with my friends so today was pretty special. thanks again guys!

now what we’re into 2020, i decided my new year resolutions. one is to continue to wake up early, get out into the sunrise, and jump even higher than ever! haha…
another one is to continue to go hunting for food. and i know just the place to find some…
another one is to continue to look around and observe what’s out there. whether it will be a turtle or a rainbow…
another one is to continue to search for good food on this island. and when i find it, maybe i’ll share it with you. haha…
another one is to continue to take photos from my foil drone. nothing beats angles like this because this is the closet you will ever get to all the action…
another one is to watch as many sunrises and sunsets possible. a good start and end to each day…
and another one is to try to stay up past 8pm so i can experience more out of each day. haha. so yeah, basically nothing more than last year. just an extended version of my daily lifestyle. so far, so good…
