this morning was heavy rain, thunder, and lightning bolts!!!  it wasn’t a day for the beach but i had a feeling it would clear up.  and sure enough, it did!  Oshima-san and Alex paddled out and there was nobody in the ocean!!!  we had Bowls to ourselves for almost the whole time!!! and the waves were perfect!  super glassy and the best it’s been in days.  Oshima-san told me this is the best he’s surfed it.  i think so too! this was the main peak at Bowls and i still can’t believe we got it all to ourselves… Alex on his 2nd day of Boot Camp.  looking good dude! Oshima-san always looking good! it’s unbelievable how the weather could turn from so bad to so good.  only in Hawaii… by the end of our session, Alex was surfing super good.  shaka to you too! boys just wanna have fun.  just the 3 of us enjoying this beautiful day in paradise.  i’m guessing tomorrow will have 30 guys out.  anyway, we lived the moment and it was our lucky day…

 Mai-chan has been traveling the world.  she just was in Bali, then in Australia, and now back in Hawaii.  that’s her traveling in just the past 2 months.  this girl really knows how to enjoy her young life… and every single wave she rides, she is smiling and surfing with style.  it’s hard to believe that this girl use to be so scared on the ocean.  but not anymore… good surfing and good life Mai-chan.  proud of you for being so calm, and exploring new things.  see you again real soon… i booked Takahashi-san a hotel room.  he called me when he checked in and said “kirby, i don’t think my room is ready yet.  the lady is still cleaning.”  i told him “just wait and she should be done soon.”  then he sent me these photos and said “i don’t think so.”   omg!  Takahashi-san was right.  the room wasn’t going to be ready anytime soon.  haha.  that’s the last time i’m booking anyone a room…
