Hawaiian Poop Ocean?

IMG_9429
after last nights heavy rain, i knew the water was going to be super dirty. it hasn’t rained for a while in hawaii so we needed to wash our islands clean. from the mountains, to the valleys, to the streets, to the ocean. everything and anything into the ocean. yuck!
IMG_9430
as i was walking near ala moana, i could smell something stinky too. OMG, sewer leak! like always, we have sewage overflow when it rains like this. the pipes get backed up and the poop has nowhere else to go but into the streets and ocean. ala moana beach park was a stinky mess today. i hope none of you went into the ocean.

if you surfed at ala moana today, this is what entered your mouth. omg!
IMG_9425
i took a 30 minute drive to find clean water and good waves. found it and guess what? nobody was out!
IMG_9426
and even though it was so cloudy today, it was so beautiful too!

i have a chinese friend that works at a chinese restaurant. so sometimes i take him a few fish and he gives me fried noodles. free for free. he’s happy, i’m happy, and everybody is happy.

went to the HIS office today to pick up a rail pass. one week unlimited rides on any train for $220. don’t be surprised if you see me one day in hokkaido and the next in miyazaki. i love riding trains because it’s so beautiful and i have some good quality relaxing time.

going to Tohoku this weekend to see my wonderful friends. can’t wait!

last, want to thank Yoko-san for the japanese gift! great surfing the other day!

Hawaii Castle for Sale!

had another great day with Asayama-san. the waves were pretty big yesterday morning so it was a challenge. but after getting a big bake 4′ set on our heads and surviving, nothing could scare us. Asayama-san caught the biggest wave of his life and rode it perfectly! it was amazing! and when we got to the beach, he was super stoked! he couldn’t stop smiling! haha.
IMG_9401
after our exciting morning session, we went to yoga. it was Asayama-san’s first time doing yoga so i was a little bit worried. i knew it is good for his health, but the class i go to is extremely hard.
IMG_9407
not only was Asayama-san the oldest surfer in the ocean, he was the oldest student at yoga. first time but did an awesome job.
IMG_9409
my yoga teacher is pretty hard. that’s why i like him. Pablo is a surfer so knows the poses that are good for me. good, but very hard. i couldn’t believe Asayama-san kept up with the class. his shirt was light blue, mine was light gray, but after all the sweat, our colors turned darker. our bodies couldn’t have felt any better leaving yoga class. namaste.

after a healthy sandwich at Andy’s, we went to check out some houses. japanese are really curious about living the hawaiian lifestyle so we went to check out some. starting with the cheapest, this 2 bedroom/1 bath is selling for $595,000. located in palolo, such a small house with a big price tag.
IMG_9413
then this one on 9th Avenue was pretty small too. this one was selling for $790,000. it’s crazy how expensive it is to live in hawaii.
IMG_9414
then i saved the best for last. we pulled up this house in kahala. you could tell it’s expensive by the ferrari parked in the driveway.
IMG_9416
this is the beach front view. prime property in hawaii.
IMG_9419
i still don’t understand why you would put a pool in a house like this when the beach is right in front? i don’t get it.
IMG_9417
the price tag on this house is $13,500,000! omg!
kosei
was stoked to see Kosei-san fishing in japan. freaking nice boat dude!
