I am a passive onlooker
I let bygones be bygones
Goodness brings me fortune
I believe in the human race
I understand the meaning of giving
My cup is never empty
I am loyal and just and in others I trust
I AM THE SHEEP
ok, i’m born on the year of the sheep and that was the definition of a typical sheep. so let’s break it down:
I am a passive onlooker – yes, i’m a people watcher. i use to sit down on the sidewalk at the shibuya crossing for hours watching all the people pass me by. i sat on corners in third world countries watching how people move, and how people live. yes, i’m a sheep.
I let bygones be bygones- yes, the past is the past. what happened yesterday can be fixed today. i never look back unless it’s positive. shit happens and i just live with it. yes, i’m a sheep.
Goodness brings me fortune- yes, doing good things is the best feeling in the world. and i always believe that if you give from your heart, good things will return later in your life. and i truly believe that goodness brought me fortune whether it’s a form of money, or form of friendship. yes, i’m a sheep.
I believe in the human race- yes, we are all human and all should be treated equal. i know the world isn’t that way, but i do my best to treat each and every one of my family and friends equally because all of them mean the world to me. and for the people i don’t even know, i will treat them equally as well. yes, i’m a sheep.
I understand the meaning of giving- i learned from a few important people in my life the gift of giving. it feels good to receive, but even feels better to give. giving from the heart without expecting anything in return is the true meaning of giving. yes, i’m a sheep.
My cup is never empty- in college, my philosophy teacher always taught me to be optimistic. so instead of my cup is half empty, my cup has always been half full. yes, i’m a sheep.
I am loyal and just and in others I trust- i trust everybody around me. i’ve been ripped off before, i’ve been lied to before, and i’ve been let down many of times. but i still believe in my friends and will be loyal and trust them forever. nobody is perfect in this world and if you can fully understand that, you can forgive. and as far as loyalty, i want to be loyal just like the samurai’s use to practice. yes, i’m a samurai. opps, yes, i’m a sheep.
I AM THE SHEEP
Happy Sheep year to all my Sheep friends! It’s going to be a good one!
I AM A SHEEP
Travelers' Choice: World's top 25 hotels
the Travelers’ Choice: World’s top 25 hotels just came out. i was very interested so i looked down the list and actually found a hotel i stayed at before. #6: Cocoa Island by COMO, Maldives. #6 in the whole wide world is such a great honor for a hotel like that. it was almost exactly 3 years ago when i was invited to this beautiful resort island. stayed for 8 nights and had the memories of a lifetime. best service, awesome rooms, and one of the most beautiful places in the world.

yes, the maldives is on the totally opposite side of the world from hawaii. took 2 days to get there but once you arrive, time stands still.

here is one of the rooms i stayed in. right on the emerald waters edge. nothing to do except enjoy the beautiful ocean right in front.

waking up every morning to this was like a dream. one morning i even paddled my surfboard to the island super far away. took about 1 hour. the waves were so good, no people, and just had a wonderful time.

then as night falls, the stars come out and the night view is as perfect as you can ever imagine.

i’m so happy i have a photo with me in it because from a dream, it’s now a reality. i can look back 3 years to this day and remember the wonderful time we had there.

this is all i need to live a happy traveling life. my surfboard, my fishing pole, and my free dive gear. if you drop me off at some secluded island, i could survive. but if you drop me off at a resort island like Cocoa, i could survive with a huge smile everyday. makes me miss the maldives!
