ok, the waves on the south shore can’t get any smaller than it is now. BUT, for even how small it is, it is very fun if you have the right board. just take off, ride low, and try to get the smallest barrel in the world i have so much fun on the small days because i’m enjoying it with perfect weather and perfect friends. windy and small conditions continue on the south shore, so get a good board, think positive, and enjoy what mother nature has given us. and most of all, don’t forget to smile! good night.
Small or Nothing?
Bowls Drone and Helping Hand
i get a call from Toda-san in the afternoon “hey kirby, when are you guys going surfing again?” i say “1pm.” he says, “ok, i will see you there.” i pull up in the parking lot and see Toda-san with his flying drone. yeah! i was so happy because 2 days ago was the most beautiful day of the year! postcard perfect.
Inaida-san, Yuki-san, and I paddle out to very uncrowded bowls on a sunday afternoon. look at this whole ocean and you can see only 3 of us paddlng out. Toda-san on the rocks with precise control of his very expensive drone.
we shoot for 30 minutes and this was our last wave. Inaida-san and I saying “Hello to the sky!” what an awesome photo of us having such a great time. Toda-san is re-editing the video and it will be posted shortly on youtube. once you see it, you will understand why hawaii is paradise, and you will understand why i love this wonderful life! thank you Toda-san for the wonderful photos and video. you are awesome!
check out this hotel room on the beach. i won’t tell you where because i hope to someday book a room there.
yes, another day and another tako in the bag. it’s winter season here so the start of tako season is on!
