it was so nice to go up today to one of the last japanese tea houses left in hawaii. i’ve been here many of times for parties, weddings, and dinners and i just love the tradition, food, and people. Natsunoya Tea House opened back in 1921 so it’s going to be a hundred years old soon!!! japanese culture and tradition continues.

Kellen Kurisu is my best buddy Candace Inouye’s son. Candace and I go back so far as we met at 12 years old. been the best of friends ever since. Kellen just graduated from Moanalua High School and is on his way into the real world. going to college on the mainland and i’m super proud of this fine young man. and also super proud of Candace for raising her kids as perfectly as can be.

Holli and Candace i’ve known my whole life. i wouldn’t be where i am without these 2 wonderful women. they keep me on track, keep me in place, and keep me from doing anything stupid because i don’t want to disappoint either of them. love you girls!

and thank you to the japanese government for keeping us tourists connected via wifi in japan starting next year. starting next year, the government is implementing free wifi all over japan to visiting tourists! that includes me! so no carrying that big pocket wifi, no paying outrageous data rooming plans, and no walking around trying to find free wifi. i can’t wait!
