So much energy!!!

i had a super fun time enjoying the culture in bali. mostly Hinduism will beautiful culture and beautiful style.

this local indonesia kid was matched up with kelly slater in the second round and had the golden chance to beat him. i was watching this heat and shooting through my lens getting frustrated. why? because this kid had 2 of the best waves of the heat and for some reason, couldn’t make it out of the barrel. if he did, kelly would have lost and it would have been the biggest upset in the history of surfing. that’s why i wanted this kid to win so bad. you can’t make any mistakes if you want to beat the 11x world champ. maybe next time? or maybe never again a chance like that.

joel parkinson rode a 4 fin board throughout the contest. i came back to hawaii and put 4 fins on my board but i still can’t surf like him. haha.
