i was shocked to hear the news yesterday of billionaire Ellison’s takeover of Go Airlines. after buying the beautiful island of Lanai, he bought Island Air, and now he will buy the #2 Go Airlines. remember 4 years ago Go came to hawaii and took down Aloha Airlines? they priced their tickets at $19 to any island. then after Aloha Airlines went bankrupt, they raised their prices? that’s illegal in american, Go got caught, and they paid the fine. now Ellison owns the number 2 and 3 airlines in hawaii. i feel sorry for #1 Hawaiian Airlines. i studied in college how to take down companies. if i were a hungry rich businessman, i’d buy #2 and #3 in any industry, cut prices to crazy levels. yeah, you will lose millions of dollars, but who cares when you have billions? then after my competition cannot compete with me anymore, i would buy them too, then when i have all, i will raise my prices super high and make more billions. it’s called a monopoly. scary!!!! what will Ellison buy next? Go-Naminori? haha.

Mt. Fuji is officially a World Heritage Site! yeah! the magical mountain is on the top! if i were you, i’d hike it this summer because it’s going to get crazy up there. from next year, expect millions of people from around the world going there.

next mega swell is brewing in the indian ocean and i’m hoping to be surfing this spot in 4 days. it’s a long way from hawaii but if there’s a will, there’s a way! omg, i’m getting excited!!!!
Hawaiian Monopoly?
Travel, Mango, and Friends
ok, try again. hopefully about 30 people don’t show up for their flight so i can get on one. people think i’m very lucky to be able to just go places on the spur of the moment. but i have to say that it’s not as easy as you think. there is a system you have to figure out, routes, time schedules, time differences, connecting flights, baggage, and a whole lot more. backpacking is what i do best and if one way doesn’t work out, i just go the other way. central america isn’t the only place that’s expecting a big swell, there is another huge low pressure in the indian ocean that will send some huge swells all over that region. now my eyes are turned, and i’m focused on going the other way. and if that doesn’t work out, i’m going to molokai! either way, i win!

backpacking the philippines was super fun. i love filipino food and love to try different things. this was definitely different.

ever eat tilapia before? it was pretty dam good!

crispy crablets? i almost choked on the shell.

now moving to japan. a mango goes for $63 in some department stores. and a water mellon just sold for $3,000. i had about 30 mangos in the car. eating some, and giving some away. now their all gone. kind of sad. i better look for another friends mango tree.
