bye bye kelly slater! Hello Kelia Moniz! ha! i’ve been passing by the quiksilver store in waikiki for the past 5 years and all i seen was kelly slater in the window. this is the main international marketplace location and probably the most passed by location in waikiki. i was stoked to see my niece Kelia taking over the 11th time world champion kelly’s spot. now i will pass by there with a smile every time i see this wonderful photo. i’m so proud of Kelia and when she was 13 years old, i knew she would make it big. big, but not this big. i’m excited to see what’s next for her. i love driving through waikiki. just to see all the happy surfers coming out of the water. and to see all the happy faces enjoying this paradise island. i’m stoked to be here!
yamari
these are kelia’s brothers and father. all enjoying some fresh yamari shirasu. i always have a good time talking to my nephews. i try to push them in trying to promote themselves so they can live the wonderful life i’m still living. i hope all their dreams come true! but for now, we’re planning to chase a typhoon next year in japan. see you there!
